Liberate the Russsell Square -- Improving the Lift System
This project aims to criticise and improve a bad physical interface that fails to build efficient interation with users. I decided to critisize the lift system in Russell Square Station for being unable to clearly direct passengers to the nearest possible lift, resulting in a bad commuting experience that wastes time and space.

The final product is a poster that highlights different parts of the bad interface with critiques and some skeches for possible design solution.

Field Observation & Critique

Sketches & Ideations

Goal Based on the highlighted drawbacks, the sketches served to visualise the ideas of improving different parts of the bad interface.

Learning Outcome: I have learned to do the critique with insights and practiced my sketching skills through this process. I have also managed to annotate the sketches propoerly with clear and logic language to visualise the design ideas to potential stakeholders.

Iteration of Poster

Based on the feedbacks during the in-class project showcase, I refined my project poster by changing the layout and typography such as positioning all the photos horizontally, and keeping fonts and colours consistent within the same section.
